the performance requirement of BS 6121 : 1989 and EN
50014 : 1992 adding new criteria necessary to meet
particular need. |
Cable Gland
are made in standard Brass (BS 2874 ) or in alternative
materials like Aluminium (BS 1474) and Stainless Steel
(A2/ A4). |
Cable Gland
are generally supplied in natural Brass finish. Other
finishes like Electro-Tin , Nickel and Cadmium can be
provided. |
Cable Glands
are normally supplied with ISO Metric threads to BS 3643
part 2 ISO 68 / 965 series . A Constant pitch of 1.5 mm
is used up to and including 75 mm thread size.
Alternative entry threads like PG / NPT / ET etc. are
also available. |
Electrical
continuity is normally achieved through the screwed
entry into metal boxes. Where earth short circuit
protective equipment demand positive earth connection, a
range of integral earth gland can be provided. |
